I went to a screening and panel on Monday and Michael Shannon teased Shea about not wanting to wear a wig. So he was in hair/makeup for a long time every day to get those curls just right. (I love their friendship!)
Great point. This is not a commercial show at all, and it’s hard to imagine anyone else greenlighting it at this point. It’s executive-produced by the Game of Thrones guys, so it helps to have that clout to get it made. Still, I can’t imagine Netflix is thrilled with their output. “We hired you to make hits, not weird shows about forgotten history and an English department.” (Remember The Chair?)

Whoa, that’s not a wig? Incredible. Honestly, that makes me like the show more. Gotta respect that level of commitment.
Wild right? Fits the character though!
Shea Whigham looks like he's playing a handsome owl.
Shea Wig ‘Em
Should be interesting!
