Weirdly, I actually liked Hart in True Story (though Wesley Snipes stole that show in the end). Can't stand his stand up (I tried multiple times), but most of the interviews I saw with him, he came off as a person who could be fun to hang out with.

To me, even the trailer of Fight Night was a bit exhausting, but I can totally believe it's a solid drama. I'm just not particularly a big fan of 70s crime stories so I think I'm gonna skip this one.

True Story was the beginning of the Wesley Snipes Renaissance, which hasn’t totally started in earnest, but I predict it will to some degree. It’ll probably be more like Mickey Rourke’s comeback than Brendan Fraser’s.

Hmm, I think it has started even before True Story. I would say the beginning was Brooklyn's Finest (he was pretty solid in it), and then he was actually a blast in Dolemite is My Name. But I agree, it looks like it'll be almost as shortlived as Mickey Rourke's. But that might have something to do with Snipes' egotistic personality.

You’re absolutely correct. I forgot about Dolemite. And yeah, as good as he is as a performer, it seems like he’s not so good that people are willing to deal with him.
